About us, our beautiful town and the people who choose to live here
It’s full of creative, loving people who pull together to get things done. It is home to over 3000 people who owe their livelihoods to the land. It is a rest and refuel stop to busy travellers on the East/West highway and a favourite haunt for those grey nomads in search of wildflowers and the great outdoors.
The aim of this website is to make the busy traveller aware that we are more than a couple of fuel stations.
To enhance the journey of the nomads by showing them where they can find the treasures they seek and also surprise them with the hidden talents of the local people.
