Peter Mitchel hosted the Woodstock Country Muster at his family property in Kellerberrin in February 2015. We attended not knowing what to expect but we were surprised!

The venue offered free camping so we took our caravan so we could both have a glass or two of wine and not worry about having to drive home.  It took a little while to find a camping spot but this was due to a lot of people taking advantage of the service rather than not enough room, there must have been at least 30 acres of camping area. Everyone was happy and having fun, the overall mood was festive.

After setting up the van we headed up to the event area where a huge crowd had gathered to watch the rodeo. Non stop rodeo events and very clever clowns entertained us for most of the afternoon and continued well into the evening. The day was quite warm and there wasn’t much shade but the bar had free bottled water to keep you hydrated. There had been a 4×4 display prior to the rodeo.

The band, Renegade took to the stage after dark and played into the night, they were good to listen and dance to and then the event closed for the evening.

I wouldn’t want to miss this next year, we had a really good time but I would say…

Bring a sun unbrella, camping chair, and a torch.
